According to Sri Lankan military sources, suspected LTTE cadres have taken away a seventeen-year old boy for conscription against the victim’s will in Nithyapuri, Trincomalee. The incident occurred on 18th of august 2005 around 1.30 p.m
Father of the boy, k Wadiveli has complained to the troops at Uppuveli on Friday (19) in the after noon to that his seventeen-year old son, k w saranath of no.131, 2nd lane, Nithyapuri, Trincomalee was forcibly taken away by suspected LTTE men while he was watching the festival at Pulleyar kovil.
The victim’s father has also made a formal complaint to the Trincomalee police. The Trincomalee police are conducting further investigations.
