Hello, I am an italian researcher, also descendend from a branch of the SENN family from which also descended captain François Louis SENN of the "De Meuron" Regiment who came to Ceylon around 1790-1800. He married there to Baba de Silva and had descendants. He did at least 2 campaigns in 1801 and 1802 and retired in 1806. He seems to have been buried in 1814 at Polltupassa? (Matara region) and family stories tell that he had a monument erected there. We also know that he had a long living descendancy in Ceylon with SENN, DE SILVA, FERNANDO families and later on some of the descendants moved to Australia. Have you got any clues on where to find information on this family, on him and on his grave ? Thank you. Matteo GIUNTI Rome, Italy
